KILA is a young Australian female Artist/DJ/Producer from Newcastle. triple j unearthed’s Tommy Faith labelled her sound with laser accuracy as “EMO BASS BRUTALITY!”

According to KILA, The Industrial/Metalcore style track with heavy and deep electronic bass and hard hitting vocals is “…an outcry from a dark place, a catharsis and release of emotions from a dark period of time in my life.”

“Wishful Thinking is about not wanting to let anyone down, sometimes the only thing holding you together can be not wanting to disappoint or burden the ones you love with what’s going on inside your head.. sometimes on the darkest days you stare the reaper in the face and see paradise, but then look back to the people who have been by your side, and although the pain runs deep, you stay, at least for now, even if its just for them..”
