premiered on the AU review yesterday, ‘Moonshine’ is the 3rd single and accompanying video from the upcoming debut album Escapism by Sydney based alt-rockers Interim.
Entirely crowd funded and recorded with Yanto Browning at Airlock Studios in Brisbane, Moonshine features the band’s trademark indie blues stomp, this time bringing their combined love of 90’s riff rock to the fore.
Discussing both the single and the accompanying video, Interim’s Jock Houston explains, “Moonshine’s the shortest song on the album, it’s our quick and to the pointless feel good drunken singalong track, and it only felt right that the video clip for it should be us partying with friends having a good time…
Last year we grabbed about 50 mates from Brisbane and did a weekend trip to Moreton Island, nothing but beach, bonfires, drinks and music for 3 days straight with no one else around – bliss! We brought our long-time mate and videographer (who also just joined Caligula’s Horse on rhythm guitar) Adrian Goleby along for the party to get some footage and bam, video clip done and dusted.
The actual song is about an old lady that had everything handed to her her whole life, but realised way too late that she never did anything with it, never got out of town and let loose or had those memories like the one we captured for the video clip, it’s a bit of a wakeup call to live your life before it’s gone.”
Interim’s debut album Escapism is out July 2107
