When it comes to saving the world who better to trust that Gerard Butler. Hunter Killer yet again sees him dominate the screen but this time around he flexes his acting muscles rather than his actual muscles by not being involved in the hand to hand combat scenes.The supporting cast is stacked with great performances, Gary Oldman and Common are both standouts.

In todays political climate this movie seemed perfectly timed with the story based around the tensions between American and Russian government. A US submarine vanishes while shadowing a Russian submarine in the arctic. Gerard Butler plays the role of Joe Glass the captain leading the investigation to find the missing US submarine.

This film is a great addition to the submarine film genre and is action packed to hold your attention from start to finish. Fans of both Gerard Butler and war films alike will enjoy this film. The Blu-ray also has some great features giving you a deep insight into how the film was made.
