Flume has added new Sydney and Melbourne shows to his massive 2016 world tour due to huge demand during pre-sales. Sydney will see a second show on Saturday December 10 at Qudos Bank Arena (formerly Allphones Arena), and Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl will have Flume take the stage again on Friday December 16.
This tour – his biggest global run of shows to date – is in celebration of the release of his anticipated forthcoming album, Skin (out May 27 via Future Classic: preorder here).
The Australian leg of the tour will include shows at Qudos Bank Arena (formerly Allphones Arena) in Sydney, Riverstage in Brisbane, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Perth Arena and Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Support comes from unstoppable Long Beach MC Vince Staples and enigmatic UK producer SOPHIE.
Additional shows have also been scheduled in North America following multiple sell outs in Los Angeles (2x sold out Shrine – 5,000 cap), Seattle, Boston, Atlanta and San Francisco (2x sold out Bill Graham Civic Auditorium – 8,500 cap).
This news comes fresh after the announce that Flume’s first single from Skin, ‘Never Be Like You feat. Kai’, has hit triple platinum on the ARIA charts. The track currently sits at number 40 in Spotify’s global chart, and latest single ‘Say It feat. Tove Lo’ is #4 in the Australian chart.
