Deep Sea Arcade have today released the visual accompaniment for ‘Learning To Fly’ – the band’s first single since the release of their breakthrough 2012 record Outlands.
The video clip release coincides with the second week of Deep Sea Arcade’s national ‘Learning To Fly’ Tour, with shows remaining in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth this month. The band last week officially launched the single in Brisbane, also delivering a first taste of brand new music to fans at an intimate show.
The members enlisted the help of producer Octavia Spartels to create the clip, along with cinematographers James Adams, Tyson Perkins and Hannah Leser.
Deep Sea Arcade frontman, Nic McKenzie on the making of ‘Learning To Fly’:
“We basically wanted to recreate 2001 Space Odyssey with a super limited budget. I can guarantee that we failed, but hopefully in a good way”.
