“Forget Me marks the end of a very challenging chapter for Belle Haven, and the beginning of something new.” Belle Haven vocalist David De La Hoz affirms. After a massive tour with Welsh act Casey to round out their You, Me And Everything In Between. album cycle, the band was burnt out, and questions of the future were raised. With time apart, and time to grow, guitarist Christopher Vernon asserts that distance did indeed make the heart grow fonder. “We’re still working on ourselves as people, on our writing ability, and our musicianship; but more importantly we’re constantly working on our friendship, our communication skills, and on our live performance, so as a whole, we are the best version of ourselves and Belle Haven that we can be. Nothing will ever be perfect, but you can only hope your current version of anything is the best it can be”

The four-piece returned to the stage with a free show as the Gasometer Hotel in Melbourne the other week, a show that was at capacity before the opening act began. That night the band shared with their most die-hard of fans a brand new song ‘Forget Me’, a song Belle Haven and Greyscale Recordsare proud to share with you today. With a similar theme introspection to that of his brother, David shares that the song is about working to better ourselves “The song is about self-sabotage. It can be one thing to be able to acknowledge that you’re a self-saboteur, but a whole other thing to try to change that.
