Von Grae speaks on the new single ‘At its core, Waves is a song about giving up. The process leading up to the decision to surrender is exhausting and is something many of us have experienced to varying degrees. At the time of writing the track, we were feeling the full weight of a world in chaos whilst trying to manage a mental health crisis. Like the previous singles in this series, Waves is a puzzle piece belonging to a larger picture. The narrative running through this collection of songs is a deeply personal one, and the opportunity to tell it in 5 parts has been incredibly cathartic.’
