West Thebarton’s smasher of a debut album Different Beings Being Different is out today! You can stream DBBD today. You best get cracking too, because the band are about to visit your city and don’t wanna catch you goldfishing up the front.
Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club has gone and sold out but fear not, a gig at The Tote has been locked in on June 11 for those turkeys that missed the boat. And if you’re lucky enough to be in Adelaide tonight, Thebbies are throwing a listening party including grease wheels and brown booze at Clarity Records from 7pm.
For those late to the game (don’t worry, there is time to catch up), West Thebarton are a seven-headed soul-rock hydra comin’ straight outta Adelaide, hell bent on bringing you some real good times. Led by charismatic leader figure, gravel-voiced frontman Reverend Ray, West Thebarton have spent the past few years honing razor sharp riffs, sticking them soundly to seriously tight melodic tones, and careering into bars, festival bills and best of lists.
Their life affirming anthems Moving Out, Bible Camp and Stuck On You have enjoyed a fair thrashing on triple j over the past 12 months, and since scoring a record deal with James Tidswell’s new label Domestic La La, the band have committed their homilies to tape. Their debut album, Different Beings Being Different is finally seeing the light of day today and is being celebrated with a quick whip around the country with fellow suburban heroes, Pist Idiots. They’re also playing Splendour In The Grass 2018 before heading on a grand European adventure to play in front of thousands of unsuspecting converts on the below dates:
10.08 Boardmasters, Newquay, UK
18.08 Pukkelpop, Hasselt, Belgium
24.08 Rock en Seine, Paris, France
25.08 Reading Festival, Reading, UK
26.08 Leeds Festival, Leeds, UK
