It will feel like Christmas has come early for vinyl vultures as they flick through more than 50,000 LPs and 45s covering alternative, punk, metal, rockabilly, blues, jazz, country, reggae, club, hip hop and every other genre since the dawn of rock ‘n’ roll. Presented by Egg Records and Revolve Records it’s packed with bargains and rare gems.

The entertainment line-up for the November 25 market features:

The Johnnys: Since 1983 these ‘cowpunk’ legends have been the band for punters looking for a party, and we’re thrilled that they’re set to rip up the Manning Bar stage in one of their rare appearances. The current line-up is Graham Hood (bass and vocals), Slim Doherty (guitar) and Billy Pommer Jr (drums). Expect a blistering set from these rock’n’roll rebels.

The Porkers: This infamous, high-energy band from Newcastle delivers a frantic mix of Jamaican ska and reggae infused with thumping punk rock. Crowds go seriously hog-wild for their upbeat original tunes like Chemical Imbalance and Swinging Like Tiger Woods

The Cruisin’ Deuces: Born out of a love of traditional honky-tonk, western swing and rockabilly, The Cruisin’ Deuces blend the southern twang of Telecasters with crying steel guitars and driving bass, bringing the sounds of Texas, Memphis & Nashville to Sydney for one hell of a hootenanny.

The Western Distributors: Seven stalwarts of the Sydney band scene, including The Happening Thang’s Andy Travers (The Andy 500, The Milky Bar Kids, The Threeloaders) and Cathy Wearne (“Miss Cathy”) on vocals. Experience an eclectic mix of fabulous originals and covers of honky tonk and rockabilly.

PLUS! DJs Rockin’ Mark Rondeau, The Crimplenes, The Cider-Striders, Andy Travers and MC Wolfman Dan.
