Yet again 2018 was another great year to head to the cinema. Marvel just kept kicking goals, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga shined and Bohemian Rhapsody had us all head banging to Queen again. Here’s our top 10 movies of 2018 –

1. Avengers Infinity War – This movie simply put was marvellous! With such an ensemble cast they managed to give everyone enough screen time and did the legacy of Stan Lee proud.

2. Deadpool 2 – The First Deadpool movie blew us away. We were hoping the sequel had just as much extreme action and comedy and were pleasantly surprised. Ryan Renolds and the music of Celine Dion is a Canadian dream team.

3. A Star Is Born – Outstanding performances from both Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga combined with a moving soundtrack gave us all the feels. This shining star has Oscar written all over it.

4. Bohemian Rhapsody – The movie tells the story of one of the greatest rock bands of all time Queen. Rami Malek of Mr Robot fame brought a kind of magic to the screen honouring the beloved Freddie Mercury.

5. Aquaman – This film helps bring justice back to the DC universe franchise. Jason brilliantly embodies the role of Aquaman and the visual effects are out of this world.

6. Ant-Man and the Wasp – Continuing on the story of Ant-Man proving whilst this character may be sometimes small in stature there was plenty of large scale action. Was also great to see Michelle Pfeiffer back on the big screen.

7. Mission Impossible Fallout – From awe inspiring cinematography to seemingly impossible stunts this movie had it all. Tom cruised into our top ten easily with this franchise continuation. A true action thrill ride.

8. Ready Player One – Spieldberg was back to his best with this take on the increasingly popular gamer world. We loved the nods to 80’s inspired pop culture throughout.

9. Black Panther – Wakanda was brought to life in this marvel story that needed to be told. The well choreographed fight scene above the waterfall is reason alone for this to make our top ten.

10. Bumblebee – Forget the majority of the other Transformers films. Bumblebee redeems the Autobots by giving us a rocking 80’s soundtrack combined with a loveable iconic character and a great performance from Hailee Steinfeld.
